Class Policies

All classes will begin and end on time. Any class that is canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances will be rescheduled as a make‑up class. Missed classes due to illness may also be made up if another class is available. Trial classes are offered throughout the year for students interested in our dance program; these are single‑session classes and are available only if space permits.

Studio Communication

Important studio and class updates are sent via text and email, so please keep your account information up to date if your contact details change. For questions or concerns, contact us at (281) 724‑1984 or monica@contempodancecenter.com.

Class Withdrawal

Student withdrawal from class requires a 30‑day written notice. There are no exceptions to this policy. Notices may be submitted in person at the front desk or by email. Without proper written notice, tuition charges will continue to accrue.

Dress Code

Our dress code encourages discipline, unity, and freedom of movement so students can focus and perform with confidence. Required shoes and dancewear are available for purchase at the studio. Below are the guidelines for all Contempo dance classes:

Preschool and Beginner Combo Classes
Black or pink leotard any style. Pink or tan tights. Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.

Ballet and Pointe Classes
Black or pink leotard any style. Pink or tan tights. Pink Ballet shoes. Pointe shoes (fitted).

Lyrical
Black or pink leotard. Footless tights or leggings are optional but recommended. Turning/Lyrical shoes.

Hip Hop and Hippity Hop
Black dance shorts t-shirt or black leotard. Tennis shoes or black jazz shoes.

Jazzy Hip Hop
Black leotard with black dance shorts. Tights or leggings are optional but recommended. Black jazz shoes.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz
Black or pink leotard with dance shorts. Pink or Tan leggings. Black tap shoes, black jazz shoes, and pink ballet shoes.

Acro
Black leotard with dance shorts or leggings. Tennis shoes that should not be worn outside of class.

Specialty classes
Any style dancewear including dance shorts and shirt or leotard. Various shoe styles.

Male Dancers
Male dancers may wear black pants or shorts with black t-shirt/polo style.

Releve' Dance Company
Contempo Company members should wear their Company leotards and dance shorts. Dance shoes and tennis shoes need to be brought to every class.
